**SOLD** 1987 2cv6 Dolly
Meet Jenny. She is a delightful 2cv Dolly finished in the ever-popular 'plums and custard' colour scheme. Jenny is a good, usable car, solid in all the right places and is a delight to drive. She features a galvanised chassis, solid, rust-free bodyshell and good, straight panels. She isn't concours, but is nonetheless a very presentable 2cv that can be driven and enjoyed.
We gave Jenny a light make-over a few years ago, when we carried out some body repairs such as a lower windscreen surround & bonnet hinge, as well as some paintwork here and there. She also received new wheels and tyres, bumpers and a high quality roof by Matt's soft tops.
Mechanically, she is in excellent shape, with the engine having undergone an overhaul with new 9.0:1 pistons & barrels, re-jetted carburettor, a new coil and a Lumenition electronic ignition system. It has covered less than 2k miles since. A new battery has been fitted and has just been serviced with new oil, filter and plugs. The car starts on the button and runs like a swiss watch as you'd expect.
Inside, she is neat and tidy, everything works as it should and the seats have recently been re-sprung with new rubbers and base supports. A carpet set and 12v socket adds that extra touch of luxury!
Jenny comes with an extensive service history folder going right back to her early years and the original handbook and wallet is present.
Serviced and checked over by us, Jenny comes with a new MOT and is ready to drive away.
Go on - treat yourself....spring is just around the corner after all!

SOLD: 1976 2cv6
This is Daffodil, a rather special 1976 2cv6 in Jaune Cedrat. We fully and painstakingly restored Daffodil to original spec around five years ago. The time has come for her owner (since 1980) to take the sad decision to find her a new forever home.
This 2cv was completely original and unmessed with prior to the restoration, albeit rather rotten! So our mission was to rebuild this 2cv to as near perfect original spec as we could. I have a soft spot for 2cvs of this era so the challenge was compelling! This 2cv was built at the Forest factory in Belgium where all RHD 2cv were assembled prior to December 1977. So for these cars, original spec means key items such as rectangular headlights, front drum brakes, single choke carburettor, single demister, and brown dashboard trim and targa seats.
We rebuilt Daffodil as follows: Fully refurbished shell by Citwins. Sealed, etch and epoxy primed and repainted in original AC 331 Jaune Cedrat. Brand new original Citroen type chassis used. All mechanicals stripped, cleaned and refurbished, with bearings, shock absorbers, kingpins, steering rack & arms etc replaced as well as all gaiters and fuel line. Braking system fully rebuilt, retaining the original front drum brakes and gearbox. The original, 74k miles engine was fully stripped and rebuilt with new pistons & barrels, carburettor and refurbished heads. A 123 electronic ignition and dry resin coil were fitted to complete. Loads of other parts renewed as you'd expect - exhaust, battery, heater tubes, plus numerous smaller trim and fitting parts. The underside has been fully Dynax wax treated including all hollow sections on the body and chassis. New bumpers, wheels, Michelin tyres and roof have also been fitted.
Bodily, no detail was spared, using new or existing (rot-free) panels where possible. We used as many original fittings and fixtures as possible, including all dashboard trim, mats and door fittings. The seats have been fully refurbished in original spec brown targa pvc. A number of common-sense items have been fitted to complement the usability of the car - such as a heated rear window, rear fog light, 12v/USB socket as well as a period radio cassette player.
As you would expect, daffodil starts on the button, runs like a swiss watch and drives in that lovely way only a '70s 2cv can.
Daffodil really does need to be seen to be believed. I don't often use this term but this is as near perfect a 2cv that you can get. Restored properly, set up properly, the attention to detail is first class and the end result is a quite beautiful 2cv ready to be driven and enjoyed.
She is MOT, Tax and ULEZ exempt, but does have the benefit of a current MOT until April 2026. She will come fully checked over by us prior to sale.
