FOR SALE: 1987 2cv6 Special

We are pleased to offer this beautiful, recently restored 1987 2cv. Extensively rebuilt with a refurbished bodyshell (floors, sills, bulkhead, rear end, screen surround etc) and a new chassis. Repainted in an eye catching blue and white scheme with matching roof. Many new parts have been fitted including wings, roof, bumpers, shock absorbers and a new set of Michelin tyres. Dynax wax treated underneath.

Mechanically, it is in excellent order, having just been serviced and with electronic ignition fitted, a new coil as well as numerous other smaller parts such as battery, heater tubes, headlight lenses and exhaust. This 2cv starts on the button, runs and drives beautifully and puts a smile on your face :-)

Inside, the seats have been refurbished and re-trimmed in a very fetching, high quality blue denim fabric, and also benefits from new headlining, dashboard trim and carpet mat set.

Notably, included is an extensive history folder dating right back to the car's early life, and even features the original bill of sale from the supplying dealer.

This 2cv comes fully checked over by us with a new MOT ready to be driven away. 

A lovely 2cv in outstanding condition, yet also entirely usable so can be enjoyed for the summer!

SOLD: 1978 2cv6

Say hello to Burt. He is a very special 2cv.  He has been meticulously restored to better-than-new condition and no expense has been spared in the process. You can literally eat your dinner off him, if you so desired!

Burt is a 1978 2cv6 finished in the happiest of colours - Jaune Mimosa. He has been lovingly restored to original spec over a few years by his owner, Steve, and then the car came to us last year for finishing, attention to detail and shakedown/MOT.  Steve enjoyed Burt throughout last year, attending many shows, but due to a change in circumstances he is now reluctantly offering Burt for sale.

The list of work and parts is too long to include fully here but highlights include - a fully refurbished bodyshell by Citwins, being sealed, etch & epoxy primed, stonechipped and then coated in two full coats of 2k topcoat. A new galvanised chassis has been fitted, with fully reconditioned mechanicals using as many original, or New Old Stock parts as possible. New wheel rims, Michelin tyres, exhaust, battery, electronic ignition, OE Valeo clutch, roof and bumpers complete the look. Inside, the seats have been retrimmed in orange jersey, an option to the original black targa pvc, and as fitted as standard to the slightly earlier 2cv SPOT.

As you can imagine, Burt starts, runs and drives beautifully. His 66k mileage is genuine, backed up with a comprehensive history file and known provenance. He even comes with his original wallet and handbook.

Burt really does need to be seen to be believed. I don't often use this term but this is as near perfect a 2cv that you can get. Restored properly, set up properly, the attention to detail is first class and the end result is a  quite beautiful 2cv ready to be driven and enjoyed.
